Admiral Naveed Ashraf Highlights Regional Maritime Security Role in Malaysia
Rawalpindi: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf paid an official visit to Malaysia, where he held talks with the leadership of the Royal Malaysian Navy aimed at strengthening bilateral naval cooperation and enhancing coordination on maritime security.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Admiral Naveed Ashraf was received at the Royal Malaysian Navy Headquarters by Admiral Tan Sri (Dr.) Zulhelmy bin Ithnain, Chief of the Royal Malaysian Navy, and was accorded a Guard of Honour.

During the meetings, discussions focused on aligning strategic perspectives and expanding cooperation in operational readiness, capacity building, and coordinated responses to shared maritime security challenges. The Pakistan Navy chief highlighted his service’s contributions to regional stability through Regional Maritime Security Patrols (RMSP) and active participation in the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF).
As part of the visit, Admiral Naveed Ashraf also toured Malaysia’s National Hydrographic Centre, where he emphasized the importance of closer collaboration with Pakistan’s National Hydrographic Office in the areas of training, data sharing, and professional engagement.

The visit reaffirmed the enduring naval partnership between Pakistan and Malaysia and underscored the shared commitment of both navies to future-oriented maritime cooperation.
