COAS Asim Munir Meets UAE National Security Advisor in Abu Dhabi

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, COAS and CDF, held a meeting in Abu Dhabi on February 16, 2026, with His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor of the United Arab Emirates.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the two sides discussed measures to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on economic collaboration, investment, and security. The meeting also included an exchange of views on regional developments, underscoring the importance of sustained coordination to promote peace and stability in the region.

Field Marshal Asim Munir expressed appreciation to the Government of the United Arab Emirates for its longstanding investments and continued support for Pakistan’s economy and security over the years. He said the support reflected deep-rooted historical ties between the two brotherly countries and acknowledged the role of UAE leadership in advancing economic and social development in Pakistan.

He further affirmed that the security and stability of the United Arab Emirates are intrinsically linked to Pakistan’s own security, given the enduring historical relationship and strong strategic partnership between the two countries. The Pakistan Army Chief reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to continued joint efforts to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in all fields, in the interest of both nations and for regional peace, stability, and prosperity.
