Dar Leads Strategy Talks on Enhancing Agricultural Trade Competitiveness

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting to review measures aimed at enhancing Pakistan’s agricultural exports and improving the country’s trade competitiveness in international markets.

The discussions centered on strategies to expand market access for Pakistani agricultural products, streamline trade facilitation mechanisms, and strengthen engagement with key international partners. Emphasis was placed on aligning diplomatic outreach with national economic priorities to support export growth and diversify trade destinations.

The meeting was attended by SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch, Pakistan’s ambassadors posted at key foreign missions, and senior officials from relevant ministries. Participants reviewed existing challenges and explored coordinated approaches to promote Pakistan’s agricultural sector globally.

Officials highlighted the need for integrated efforts between diplomatic missions and economic ministries to unlock new opportunities, enhance competitiveness, and position Pakistan more effectively in global agricultural markets.
