Deputy PM Ishaq Dar Meets Etisalat Chairman on Bilateral Cooperation
ISLAMABAD – Jan 24, 2026 – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met in Dubai with H.E. Jassem Mohammed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of Etisalat (e&) and representatives from the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance, to discuss ways to enhance trade and economic cooperation between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting focused on exploring new investment opportunities, addressing Etisalat’s pending issues in Pakistan, and reviewing the company’s ongoing engagement in the country, including its stake in PTCL.
During discussions, Senator Dar highlighted the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating private sector investment and strengthening economic ties with partner countries. Both sides emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to deepen bilateral economic and trade relations between the two nations.
