Field Marshal Asim Munir Reaffirms Pakistan’s Unwavering Support for Kashmir

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that Kashmir will soon witness a new dawn of freedom, which reflects the collective desire and destiny of the Kashmiri people.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff visited Muzaffarabad, where he laid a floral wreath at the Jammu and Kashmir Martyrs’ Memorial and paid tribute to the sacrifices of those who laid down their lives for the Kashmir cause.

The ISPR said that Field Marshal Asim Munir praised the bravery and selfless sacrifices of the martyrs of the Kashmir freedom movement, acknowledging their enduring contribution to the struggle for self-determination.

While speaking with prominent personalities and retired military officers, the Army Chief said that India’s state-sponsored aggression and serious human rights violations had failed to break the resolve of the Kashmiri people. He added that despite policies rooted in Hindutva ideology, the Kashmiri people’s struggle had only grown stronger.

Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated that Pakistan would continue its political, moral, and diplomatic support for the people of Kashmir. He emphasized that Kashmir would soon see a new morning of freedom, which represents the collective aspiration and destiny of its people. He further stated that Pakistan would continue to raise the Kashmir issue effectively at international forums.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.

According to the ISPR, the Chief of Defence Forces also visited forward positions, where he met troops deployed along the front lines and commended their high morale and sense of duty. During the visit, he stressed the importance of maintaining operational readiness and coordination at all levels.

Field Marshal Asim Munir praised the spirit, professionalism, and combat preparedness of officers and soldiers deployed in the Kashmir region. He said that despite challenging operational conditions, the high morale of the troops was commendable.

He warned that any hostile action would be met with an immediate, effective, and decisive response, adding that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to counter both conventional and hybrid threats.
