Foreign Office Cites Self-Defence Under UN Charter
Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said that defensive actions were carried out in response to terrorist attacks and provocations originating from Afghan territory under Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq.

He said the operations inflicted heavy losses on terrorist organizations and targeted their hideouts.

The Foreign Office stated that Pakistan undertook these measures under its right to self-defense to protect its citizens and the region. It warned that any further provocation by the Taliban government or any terrorist group would be met with a strong response.

The spokesperson said Pakistan seeks peace and stability in the region and will continue diplomatic efforts to address the issue of terrorism.

According to the Foreign Office, Pakistan’s goodwill was misinterpreted, and attacks from Afghan territory increased. It called on the Afghan government to immediately halt the activities of Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan.

The spokesperson urged the international community to pressure the Taliban government to take concrete action against terrorist groups. He said Pakistan reserves the right to take all appropriate measures in self-defense under the United Nations Charter.
