Gaza Families Face Critical Shortages of Food, Water, Shelter and Medicine, Says UN
The United Nations has warned that the humanitarian situation in Gaza remains critical, with children among the most severely affected by shortages of shelter, food, water, and medicine.
Briefing reporters in New York, UN Secretary-General spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said hundreds of thousands of families across Gaza continue to face urgent and unmet needs.
He added that UN health partners have intensified efforts to provide basic services, including launching a catch-up vaccination campaign last week, in an attempt to address pressing public health concerns amid the ongoing crisis.
“Hundreds of thousands of families across Gaza continue to face urgent needs,” Dujarric emphasized, highlighting the scale and severity of the humanitarian emergency.
