Geespace, PakSat Sign Agreement to Expand Satellite Connectivity in Pakistan

Islamabad: Chinese commercial space company Geespace has signed a cooperation agreement with Pakistan’s satellite communication operator, PakSat International, to promote satellite-based connectivity services in Pakistan and neighboring regions.

According to PakSat, the partnership aims to strengthen Pakistan’s digital infrastructure, improve connectivity in remote areas, and support the region’s growing digital economy.

Geespace stated that the collaboration will focus on policy alignment, technical cooperation, and market development, particularly related to the company’s low Earth orbit satellite IoT network, GeSetCom, which will be introduced in Pakistan and surrounding areas.

Under the agreement, PakSat will assist in addressing policy matters, spectrum coordination, and legal requirements necessary for commercial operations in Pakistan. Both parties will also explore opportunities for network access, service integration, and marketing collaboration.

Geespace CEO Wang Yang said the company will provide reliable, all-weather satellite communication services tailored to Pakistan’s needs. He added that the services will help bridge coverage gaps in remote regions, support industrial digitalization, and facilitate interregional connectivity.
