Hafiz Naeem Urges Consultative Measures to Address Terrorism in Tirah Valley

Lahore: Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, has expressed deep concern over the recent wave of terrorism in Balochistan and other parts of Pakistan.

Speaking at the three-day central Shura meeting of the party, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman noted that it has been two years since the controversial February 8 elections. He described the ongoing surge in terrorist incidents across the country as alarming, attributing the unrest to both internal and external factors.

Commenting on the situation in the Tirah Valley, he said forcibly displacing people would not end terrorism. He urged the government, stakeholders, and political parties to take measures in consultation with local communities.

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman also opposed Pakistan’s potential participation in former US President Donald Trump’s proposed “Gaza Board of Peace,” adding that he had called JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and would meet him soon to discuss the matter.

He further praised the policies of Hamas, suggesting that Islamic movements should seek guidance from the group’s approach.
