High Commissioner Dr. Faisal Addresses Students on Pakistan’s World Position
London : The Pakistan High Commission in London, in collaboration with the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) Students’ Union Pakistan Development Society, organized an interactive session titled “Rising Importance of Pakistan on the Global Stage,” bringing together international students and members of the Pakistani diplomatic mission.
The session was attended by students enrolled in various departments at LSE, alongside officers of the Pakistan High Commission. Participants also included students from Imperial College London, University College London, Queen Mary University of London, the University of Warwick, King’s College London, and other academic institutions.
Delivering the keynote address, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, said Pakistan holds significant international importance due to its geostrategic location, expanding economy, investment potential, strong defense capabilities, and large youth population.
He stated that Pakistan’s strength had been recognized globally during the recent conflict with India in Marqa-e-Haq and the success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, where, he said, the nation demonstrated unity and resilience in the face of a larger and better-resourced adversary.
Dr. Faisal emphasized that Pakistan’s leadership, through progressive and self-reliant policies, had clearly conveyed to the world the country’s commitment to peace. He urged Pakistani youth to equip themselves with modern skills and knowledge to effectively serve the nation in an increasingly complex global environment.
During the interactive discussion, the High Commissioner elaborated on Pakistan’s foreign policy direction, economic reform agenda, and the critical role of young Pakistanis in national development and long-term prosperity.
Students thanked the High Commissioner and his team for providing them with the opportunity to engage directly with the diplomatic mission and to share their academic experiences at some of London’s most prestigious universities.
