High level Pakistan UAE engagement as president begins state visit
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari will undertake an official visit to the United Arab Emirates from January 26 to 29, 2026, accompanied by a high-level delegation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday.
According to a curtain-raiser issued by the Office of the Spokesperson, the visit will feature high-level engagements with the UAE leadership aimed at reviewing the full spectrum of bilateral relations. The talks will focus particularly on strengthening cooperation in trade and economic partnership, defence and security collaboration, and the expansion of people-to-people ties.
The discussions are also expected to cover key regional and international issues of mutual interest, reflecting the growing strategic depth of relations between Islamabad and Abu Dhabi.
The Foreign Office said the visit follows the recent trip of the President of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan and underscores the deep brotherly ties between the two countries. It added that the engagement reaffirms a shared commitment to transforming the long-standing friendship between Pakistan and the UAE into a mutually rewarding and sustainable partnership.
The visit is seen as part of sustained high-level diplomatic engagement aimed at elevating Pakistan–UAE relations across political, economic and strategic domains.
