IESCO Puts Teams on High Alert as Rain, Snowfall Forecast for Region
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has placed its operational teams on high alert to ensure uninterrupted power supply amid forecasts of rain across the region and snowfall in northern hill stations.
Chief Engineer Operations IESCO, Muhammad Kashif Shah, said on Thursday that maintaining an uninterrupted electricity supply to consumers under all circumstances remains the company’s foremost professional responsibility.
In a statement, he said IESCO’s operation, construction and GSO teams had been mobilized and placed on heightened alert in view of expected weather conditions, including possible snowfall in Murree, Nathi Gali, Patriata and other mountainous areas.
He directed the teams to remain vigilant and on duty around the clock, adding that additional material and resources had also been ensured to manage any emergency situation in a timely manner.
Shah said that complaint office numbers listed on electricity bills, the helpline number 118 and other emergency contact numbers would remain available 24 hours a day for registering complaints.
He reaffirmed IESCO’s commitment to serving consumers, stating that there was no room for negligence in fulfilling this responsibility.
