Iran Dismisses U.S. Demand on Uranium Enrichment During Oman Negotiations
Iran has rejected a U.S. demand to halt uranium enrichment during negotiations held in Oman, according to a regional diplomat linked to the Iran–U.S. talks.
The diplomat said Iran is prepared to discuss limits on enrichment levels and purity, or the possibility of a regional consortium, but is unwilling to fully suspend enrichment activities. Tehran believes U.S. negotiators appeared to understand Iran’s position on enrichment, while the American side showed some flexibility regarding Tehran’s demands.

According to the regional diplomat, the ongoing talks in Muscat did not include any discussion of Iran’s missile capabilities.
A round of negotiations between Iran and the United States concluded in Muscat on Saturday. Iran’s official news agency confirmed the end of the talks, stating that assessments indicate an agreement was reached to continue negotiations.
