Iran President Says No Missile Attacks Planned Against Neighbors
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that Iran will not carry out attacks or missile strikes against neighboring countries, emphasizing that Tehran has no intention of targeting regional states.

In a statement, President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed regret over recent incidents and apologized to neighboring countries for the developments that occurred in recent days. He said Iran does not intend to launch attacks against other nations.
Iran Vows Resistance Against US and Israel Pressure
The Iranian president explained that the Interim Leadership Council has approved a policy under which no attacks or missile strikes will be carried out against neighboring countries. According to him, the decision reflects Iran’s commitment to avoiding actions that could escalate tensions with countries in the region.
Pezeshkian stated that Iran will refrain from launching attacks or missile strikes against neighboring states as long as those countries’ territories are not used to carry out attacks against Iran. He said the policy aims to ensure that Iran’s response is limited to situations in which its security is directly threatened.

The president noted that the decision was made following discussions within the country’s leadership structures. He emphasized that the policy was formally endorsed by the Interim Leadership Council, which approved the framework governing Iran’s stance toward neighboring countries.
Tehran Assures Neighboring States After Recent Regional Strikes
At the same time, Pezeshkian reiterated Iran’s position regarding pressure from the United States and Israel. He stated that Iran will not surrender in the face of the United States and Israel.

The Iranian president said that Iran’s adversaries would have to abandon any expectation that the Iranian people would lay down their arms. According to him, those who expect Iran to surrender would have to take such hopes “to the grave.”

Pezeshkian’s remarks came in the context of heightened regional tensions following military developments involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. The situation escalated after reported attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran.
Iran Leadership Council Approves Policy of No Attacks
Following those attacks, Iran carried out strikes targeting US military bases located in neighboring countries. The strikes were aimed at American military installations in the region.
Reports indicated that the attacks on these bases also resulted in injuries to several civilians. The incidents raised concerns across the region about the potential for further escalation and broader instability.
Against this backdrop, President Pezeshkian’s statement sought to clarify Iran’s policy toward neighboring countries and its intention to avoid direct confrontation with them. He emphasized that Iran’s actions would be limited to defending itself if its territory comes under attack.
