Iran has expressed appreciation to Saudi Arabia following the kingdom’s declaration that its territory, airspace, and waters would not be used for any action against Iran. The statement of gratitude came from Iran’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia during comments made to the international media.

Iran’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alireza Enayati, said Tehran welcomed Riyadh’s position and regarded it as an important signal during a period of heightened regional tensions. Speaking to AFP, the Iranian envoy noted that Saudi Arabia had clearly stated that its airspace, maritime territory, and land would not be used for operations targeting Iran.

According to Ambassador Enayati, Iran values the assurances repeatedly conveyed by Saudi authorities on this issue. He stated that officials in the kingdom had confirmed on multiple occasions that Saudi territory would not be utilized for actions directed against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
