Ishaq Dar Arrives in Saudi Arabia for OIC
Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, has arrived in Saudi Arabia on a two-day visit to participate in the Extraordinary Open-Ended Ministerial Meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Executive Committee.
Dar Begins Two-Day Saudi Arabia Visit

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dar was received at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the OIC, Ambassador Fawad Sher; Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmad Farooq; and Consul General in Jeddah, Syed Mustafa Rabbani.

Earlier, the Foreign Office had announced that the deputy prime minister departed Islamabad on February 26 to attend the Open-Ended Extraordinary Ministerial Session of the OIC Executive Committee, scheduled to take place in Jeddah from February 26 to 28, 2026.

During his visit, Dar is expected to hold sideline meetings with counterparts from OIC member states to discuss issues of mutual interest. The Foreign Office also stated that he will undertake brief visits to the holy cities while in Saudi Arabia.

The visit is part of Pakistan’s continued engagement within the OIC framework and its participation in high-level consultations among member states.
