Israel Approves State Ownership of Large Areas in Occupied West Bank
The Israeli government has approved a decision to declare large areas of the occupied West Bank as state property, according to foreign media reports.
Reports said the Israeli government, while maintaining its aggressive policies, has authorized the classification of extensive tracts of land in the West Bank as state-owned. Under the decision, the land registration process will be resumed, a procedure that has remained suspended since 1967. Palestinians will be required to submit documents to prove ownership of the land.
Meanwhile, reports said ceasefire violations by Israel are continuing. In fresh attacks on Gaza, at least 11 Palestinians were reported killed. Separately, four Lebanese were killed in drone strikes near the Lebanon-Syria border.
