Khamenei Blames Trump for Casualties During Iran Protests

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Saturday accused US President Donald Trump of responsibility for casualties linked to recent protests in the country.

Speaking to a crowd during an address marking a religious holiday, Khamenei said Washington bore blame for the deaths and damage caused during the unrest. He also criticized what he described as accusations made by the US president against the Iranian people.

“We hold the American president guilty for the casualties, the destruction, and the allegations he has directed at the Iranian nation,” Khamenei said.
