Kuwait Sentences Two Indian Nationals to Death for Drug Smuggling
A criminal court in Kuwait has sentenced two Indian nationals to death after convicting them of trafficking large quantities of narcotics, Arab media reported.
According to the reports, the two men were arrested in the Kaifan and Shuwaikh areas of Kuwait. Authorities recovered 14 kilograms of heroin, 8 kilograms of methamphetamine, and two electronic weighing scales from their possession.
The verdict was issued by a criminal court after prosecutors proved that the suspects were members of an international drug trafficking network operating from outside Kuwait.
Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior said the arrests were made following intelligence gathering and close surveillance, which led investigators to the suspects and the seizure of the drugs.
