Maryam Nawaz Reviews Murree Projects as Tea-Stall Video Spreads Online

MURREE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif made an unscheduled stop at a roadside tea stall on the Murree Expressway during her visit to the hill station, where she personally prepared tea in a moment that quickly went viral on social media.

Videos circulating online showed the chief minister stepping out of her vehicle, entering the stall’s kitchen area, and making tea herself before sharing it with those present.

The light-hearted gesture was widely shared across social media platforms, with supporters describing it as a reflection of her approachable and humble demeanor.

Maryam Nawaz arrived in Murree via the expressway and stayed at her residence in Bagh-e-Shaheedan at Kashmir Point. Reports said that Nawaz Sharif, president of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), is also present at his residence in Kashmir Point.

During the visit, the chief minister reviewed progress on the Murree Development Plan and received briefings on the Murree Mall Road operation as well as the Glass Train project.

The tea-stall video followed another viral clip from earlier this week in which Maryam Nawaz was seen standing behind a female student during a ceremony at the University of Gujrat, symbolically expressing her support for students across Punjab.

She was addressing the Honhaar Scholarship and laptop distribution ceremony at the university when a student recited a stanza in her honor, saying that having the chief minister stand behind students was a powerful show of support. In response, Maryam Nawaz embraced the student and stood behind her, prompting applause from the audience. The student appeared visibly emotional during the moment.
