Mohsin Naqvi Expresses Confidence in Dr Usman Anwar’s Leadership of FIA
Islamabad — Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi visited the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Headquarters, where he met the newly appointed Director General FIA, Dr Usman Anwar, and extended his best wishes for his new responsibilities.
During the meeting, the Interior Minister expressed confidence that under the leadership of Dr Usman Anwar, the FIA would emerge as a model institution. He said that Dr Anwar would utilise his full energies and professional capabilities to transform the FIA in line with public expectations.
Mohsin Naqvi assured the DG FIA of his full support in efforts to make the agency a modern, strong, and effective institution. He emphasized that the government stands firmly behind initiatives aimed at institutional strengthening and reform.
Speaking on the occasion, DG FIA Dr Usman Anwar stated that the agency would be brought up to international standards through the use of modern technology and enhanced training. He said that all necessary measures would be taken to improve the performance and effectiveness of the FIA.
During the visit, the Interior Minister also inspected the under-construction committee room at the FIA Headquarters. A decision was taken to renovate and refurbish the FIA Headquarters in accordance with modern operational requirements.
The Commandant of the National Police Academy, Director General NCCIA, Inspector General Islamabad Police, and senior FIA officers were also present on the occasion.
