Muslim Nations Condemn Israel’s Gaza Ceasefire Violations
Islamabad : The Foreign Ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Qatar have jointly condemned Israel’s repeated violations of the ceasefire in Gaza, warning that the actions have resulted in the killing and injury of more than a thousand Palestinians and threaten to derail ongoing diplomatic efforts.
In a coordinated statement, the ministers said the continued breaches risk escalating regional tensions and undermining initiatives aimed at consolidating calm and restoring stability. They noted that the violations come at a critical time when regional and international stakeholders are working collectively to advance the second phase of US President Donald Trump’s peace plan and to implement United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803.
The ministers described the repeated ceasefire violations as a direct threat to the political process, stressing that they obstruct efforts to establish conditions necessary for a transition toward greater stability in the Gaza Strip, particularly in the areas of security and humanitarian relief.
They underscored the importance of full commitment by all parties to ensure the success of the second phase of President Trump’s peace plan, emphasizing that continued violations jeopardize both diplomatic momentum and ground-level progress.
Calling for restraint, the ministers urged all sides to uphold their responsibilities during what they described as a critical period, warning against actions that could undermine the ceasefire. They stressed the need to preserve the current process and to create favorable conditions for early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza.
The statement reaffirmed support for advancing a just and lasting peace based on the Palestinian right to self-determination and statehood, in line with international law, relevant UN Security Council resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.
