A delegation of the National Peace and Coordination Council (NPAC) met with Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) at General Headquarters (GHQ) on January 13, 2026, and assured full cooperation in promoting the national narrative.

During the meeting, the NPAC reaffirmed unwavering solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces and expressed a joint resolve to counter narratives hostile to the state.

The delegation strongly condemned Fitna al-Khawarij and the Afghan Taliban, emphasizing that terrorism has no justification under any circumstances.

DG ISPR underscored that unity and consensus on national security matters and the national narrative are an urgent need of the time. He said comprehensive discussions were held on internal security in the context of Fitna al-Khawarij/TTP and TTA, further strengthening a shared national stance.

The meeting also reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled positions on Kashmir and Gaza, with DG ISPR stating that supporting oppressed peoples is Pakistan’s moral responsibility.

NPAC announced plans to promote messages of Muslim unity, social harmony and constitutional equality nationwide through mosques and religious platforms. Both sides agreed on adopting a zero-tolerance policy against hate speech, sectarianism and extremist takfiri narratives.

DG ISPR noted that public awareness and truth-based narratives are decisive tools in countering the enemy’s psychological warfare.

NPAC proposed increasing awareness and guidance sessions in mosques, madrassas and universities to further promote the state narrative.

Terming the meeting exceptionally productive, DG ISPR expressed optimism about progress toward greater trust and enhanced practical cooperation in the future.
