Pakistan and Ghana Agree to Enhance Collaboration Across Multiple Sectors

Accra : Pakistan and Ghana have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and agreed to enhance cooperation across a wide range of areas during the First Bilateral Political Consultations held in Ghana.

The Pakistani delegation was led by Additional Foreign Secretary Ambassador Hamid Asghar Khan, while the Ghanaian side was headed by Chief Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Khadija Iddrisu.

During the consultations, the two countries signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs): one on Bilateral Political Consultations and another between Pakistan’s Foreign Service Academy, Islamabad, and the Ghana Foreign Service Institute.

Both sides expressed a strong commitment to deepening cooperation in political, economic, defence, tourism, cultural, health, education, information technology, and other mutually beneficial sectors. They also agreed to hold the next round of Bilateral Political Consultations in Islamabad next year.

The institutional dialogue marks an important milestone in Pakistan-Ghana relations, which have remained friendly and cooperative for decades. The consultations are expected to further strengthen bilateral ties through targeted, project-specific cooperation.
