Pakistan, Cambodia Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthen Economic Cooperation

ISLAMABAD : Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday received Cambodia’s Minister of Commerce, Cham Nimul, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening the Pakistan–Cambodia bilateral partnership, with particular focus on expanding cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, and investment under the framework of the Pakistan–Cambodia Joint Trade Committee (JTC).

The deputy prime minister underscored the importance of sustained engagement through institutional mechanisms to unlock new avenues of economic collaboration and enhance bilateral commercial ties.

Senator Ishaq Dar also highlighted Pakistan’s ongoing engagement with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and reiterated Islamabad’s desire to further deepen cooperation with the regional organisation.

The meeting reflected both countries’ intent to build on existing relations and explore practical measures to enhance economic connectivity.
