Pakistan Repels Attacks Across 53 Border Locations

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said during a briefing on Pakistan’s Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq that there is no distinction between the Afghan Taliban regime and terrorists, adding that the world understands the operation is aimed at protecting Pakistan’s citizens.

He stated that on the night of February 21 and 22, Pakistani forces targeted hideouts of Fitna al-Khawarij near the border. He said the Afghan Taliban regime used this as a pretext to launch what he described as a so-called action.

Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq Targets Taliban Regime Positions

According to Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the Taliban regime opened fire at 53 locations across 15 sectors along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. He said all attacks at the 53 locations were repelled.

He said Pakistan delivered a strong response that was witnessed globally, adding that the enemy was given a forceful reply at all 53 locations.

The ISPR chief said that during Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq, 274 Taliban regime personnel and Khawarij were killed, while more than 400 were injured.

Airstrikes Hit Kabul and Kandahar Military Headquarters

He further stated that more than 74 Taliban regime posts were completely destroyed. He said 18 Taliban regime posts are now under Pakistan’s control, and 115 enemy tanks and armored vehicles have been destroyed.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that so far, 12 Pakistani soldiers have been martyred and 27 others injured during the operation.

He added that drone attacks in Abbottabad and Nowshera were foiled.

He said 22 hideouts of Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij were targeted, and that targets in Kabul, Paktia, and Kandahar were struck with precision.

Pakistan Says No Distinction Between Taliban, Terrorists

He stated that Pakistan’s armed forces professionally targeted only military objectives, destroying terrorist sanctuaries and weapons depots. He said terrorists fled, leaving behind the bodies of their associates.

The ISPR chief said the Pakistan Air Force targeted an infantry brigade headquarters in Kabul, adding that the nighttime fireworks in Kabul’s skies were seen around the world. He also said a brigade headquarters in Kandahar was destroyed.

Reiterating his remarks, he said there is no difference between the Afghan Taliban regime and terrorists, and that the world understands Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq is being conducted to protect the public.

He added that on the prime minister’s directives, Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq is ongoing and will continue until its objectives are achieved.
