Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Briefed on UN Engagements in New York
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Ambassador Iftikhar briefed Dar on the Pakistan Mission’s recent engagements in New York, with a focus on developments at the UN Security Council and other UN bodies. He outlined ongoing efforts to advance Pakistan’s key foreign policy priorities at multilateral forums, including issues related to Jammu and Kashmir and the Palestinian cause.
Dar emphasized the importance of the United Nations and other multilateral institutions in promoting global peace and security, as well as supporting sustainable economic development worldwide.
