President Donald Trump Says Pakistan Handling Situation Well
U.S. President Donald Trump responded to the Pakistan-Afghanistan conflict, saying Pakistan is handling the situation well and that he will not intervene.
Speaking to reporters outside the White House, Trump was asked about the ongoing conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Trump Cites Strong Relations With Pakistan
In response to a question about whether he would intervene in the war, the president said he would consider it but noted that he has very good relations with Pakistan.

Trump said he believes Pakistan is moving forward in a very strong manner and is managing its situation with Afghanistan effectively. He added that he would not intervene.

The U.S. president also said Pakistan has a great prime minister and a great general, describing them as strong leaders for whom he has deep respect.

An other sides spokesperson for the Taliban government confirmed that bombing occurred in Kabul, Paktia, and Kandahar. According to Afghan media, at approximately 1:50 a.m., a Taliban military center in Kabul was targeted in an airstrike.

Afghan media reported that the Taliban’s Mansouri Corps in Paktia province was bombed twice. Media reports also said a Pakistani aircraft was seen flying over Kandahar shortly after midnight.
