Security Forces Kill 24 Militants in Intelligence-Based Operations Across KP

Security forces have killed 24 militants during two separate intelligence-based operations conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on February 4 and 5, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement, the military’s media wing said the operations targeted Indian-backed militants affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij. One operation was carried out in Orakzai district, where security forces acted on credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants. During the operation, the militants’ hideout was effectively engaged, resulting in an intense exchange of fire that led to the killing of 14 militants.

In a separate incident in Khyber district, security forces launched another intelligence-based operation. The ISPR said that during the ensuing firefight, an additional 10 militants were neutralized.

The military said search and clearance operations are continuing in the affected areas to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored militant elements. These operations aim to ensure the complete dismantling of terrorist networks operating in the region.

According to the ISPR, the counterterrorism campaign is being carried out under the broader framework of Vision Azm-e-Istehkam. The statement reaffirmed that security forces remain engaged in a decisive crackdown against Indian-backed terrorism and will continue efforts to restore lasting peace and stability.
