Security Forces Kill 41 Indian-Backed Militants in Balochistan Ops

Islamabad : ( by Naeem Mehboob) Pakistan’s security forces carried out two separate intelligence-based operations in Balochistan, killing 41 Indian proxy-linked militants, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement, the military’s media wing said the operations were conducted on January 29 in different districts of the province following confirmed intelligence inputs regarding militant hideouts.

The first operation took place in the outskirts of Harnai district, where security forces targeted a terrorist enclave. ISPR said troops effectively engaged the militants, resulting in an intense exchange of fire that led to the killing of 30 militants allegedly operating under Indian patronage.

According to ISPR, the slain militants were affiliated with Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan. A large cache of weapons and explosive material was recovered from the site, while the seized explosives were destroyed on the spot to prevent further threats.

In a second operation conducted in Panjgur district, security forces destroyed another militant hideout based on actionable intelligence. As a result, 11 militants linked to Fitna-al-Hindustan were killed.

ISPR stated that weapons, ammunition, and cash looted during a bank robbery were recovered from the militants. The money was identified as proceeds from the December 15, 2025 bank heist in Panjgur.

The military said the neutralized militants were involved in multiple terrorist activities in the past.

ISPR added that clearance operations are ongoing in the area to eliminate any remaining Indian-backed militants. It reaffirmed that under the national counterterrorism vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” Pakistan’s counterterrorism campaign will continue at full pace, with security forces and law enforcement agencies committed to the complete eradication of foreign-sponsored terrorism.
