Security Forces Maintain Control Amid Foiled Terrorist Attacks in Balochistan
Quetta : Security personnel successfully prevented attacks at multiple locations across Balochistan, a provincial government official said on Saturday morning.
Shahid Rind, special aide to the Chief Minister for political and media affairs, reported on X that more than 70 terrorists had been killed over the past two days in operations across the province.
“Following this, terrorists attempted attacks at several locations in Balochistan, which were thwarted by the police and Frontier Corps through timely action,” Rind added.

According to sources, mobile phone services were operational, but data services were suspended in Quetta, Sibi, and Chaman as security measures were implemented.
An emergency was declared in all government hospitals across the province on the directives of Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar and Health Secretary Mujeebur Rehman.
Kakar personally supervised medical treatment for those injured in Quetta firing, the provincial health department said. He directed Quetta Trauma Centre Managing Director Dr. Arbab Kamran and Quetta Civil Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Abdul Hadi Kakar to ensure immediate provision of medical facilities.
Operating theatres at both the Quetta Trauma Centre and Civil Hospital have been placed on alert, and additional doctors have been deployed to respond to casualties.
Officials emphasized that this is a developing situation, and initial media reports may vary. Updates will continue to rely on verified information from qualified authorities and on-the-ground reporters.
