Shehbaz Sharif Begins Two-Day Official Visit to Austria

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif departed for a two-day official visit to Vienna, Austria, at the invitation of Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi are accompanying the Prime Minister as part of the Pakistani delegation.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold bilateral talks and delegation-level meetings with Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker at the Federal Chancellery in Vienna. The Prime Minister and the Austrian Chancellor will also jointly preside over a meeting of prominent business leaders aimed at increasing investment between the two countries.

The Prime Minister will later participate in and address the Austria Business Forum. He will also attend and speak at a special event organised under the auspices of the United Nations in Vienna on the theme “Sustainable Development: The Path to Global Peace and Prosperity”.

In addition, the Prime Minister will meet the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

The official visit of the Prime Minister to Austria is expected to add new dimensions to bilateral relations between the two countries.
