Trump Claims Massive U.S. Strikes Destroy Iranian Military Targets

U.S. President Donald Trump said that the United States carried out what he described as the most powerful strikes in the history of the Middle East against Iranian military targets, claiming that all designated objectives were completely destroyed.

In a message shared on social media, Trump stated that the operation was conducted under his directive by the United States Central Command. He said American forces targeted Iranian military positions as well as locations on Kharg Island.

U.S. Conducts “Most Powerful” Middle East Strikes, Says Trump

According to the U.S. president, the strikes represented the most powerful military action ever carried out in the Middle East region. He asserted that the attacks successfully destroyed all intended targets during the operation.

However, Trump said he deliberately chose not to order the destruction of the island’s critical oil infrastructure. He explained that there were specific reasons behind the decision to avoid targeting facilities linked to Iran’s oil exports.

Despite that restraint, Trump issued a strong warning to Iran and any other actors who might attempt to interfere with shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz. He said that if Iran or any other country disrupts free and secure navigation in the strategic waterway, the United States could immediately reconsider the decision not to strike oil facilities.

Trump Warns Iran Over Threats to Strait of Hormuz Shipping

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most important maritime chokepoints, serving as a key route for global oil shipments and international trade. Any disruption to traffic in the narrow waterway could have significant implications for global energy markets.

Trump also highlighted the strength of the U.S. military, saying that during both his first presidential term and his current tenure he had transformed American armed forces into the most powerful and effective military force in the world.

He argued that Iran lacks the capability to defend itself against American military strikes. According to the president, the country does not possess the means to effectively counter the strength and technological superiority of the United States military.

Trump further reiterated that Iran would never be allowed to possess nuclear weapons. He emphasized that his administration would ensure that Tehran cannot pose a threat to the United States, the Middle East, or the wider international community.

Trump Says Iran’s Regional Ambitions and Nuclear Plans Defeated

The U.S. president also claimed that Iran’s alleged plans to dominate the Middle East and destroy Israel had effectively collapsed following the military action. He said those ambitions were now “completely dead.”

In addition, Trump issued a warning directed at members of the Iranian military as well as individuals associated with the Iranian government. He urged them to surrender their weapons and take steps to preserve their country.

Kharg Island, which lies about 25 kilometers off Iran’s coastline in the Persian Gulf, plays a crucial role in the country’s energy exports. The island serves as the primary terminal for Iranian crude oil shipments.

U.S. Signals Further Action If Maritime Routes Threatened

Energy analysts note that roughly 90 percent of Iran’s oil exports pass through the facilities located on Kharg Island before reaching global markets. As a result, the location remains strategically important for both Iran’s economy and international energy supply routes.
