Trump Says Talks With Iran Ongoing, Warns of ‘Very Bad Consequences’ Without Deal

US President Donald Trump has said that talks with Iran are ongoing, stressing that negotiations must lead to a deal.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, President Trump said that a naval fleet larger than the one dispatched to Venezuela is currently heading toward Iran.

He said that reaching an understanding with Iran would be a positive outcome but warned that failure to do so could result in “very bad consequences.” The US president also confirmed that Steve Witkoff is scheduled to hold talks with Iran’s foreign minister on Friday.

Commenting on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Trump said efforts are underway to achieve a ceasefire, adding that he expects positive news regarding a truce.

During his media interaction at the White House, President Trump also stated that he has no connection whatsoever to the Epstein scandal.

In addition, Trump announced a decision to establish a strategic reserve of critical minerals considered vital for American industries.
