UN Mission Celebrates Journalists’ Role in Promoting UN Work
New York: Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, hosted a dinner for New York–based Pakistani journalists and members of the United Nations Correspondents Association (UNCA).
In his remarks, Ambassador Asim highlighted the essential role of journalists in informing diverse audiences about the work of the United Nations. He noted that both Pakistani and UNCA journalists are vital partners in the Mission’s outreach efforts and thanked them for their continued engagement.
The event, held at Pakistan House, featured a cultural performance by singer Saira Peters, who performed a mix of English and Pakistani songs.
Ambassador Usman Jadoon and officers of the Pakistan Mission also attended the occasion.
