Zelenskyy Warns Europe of Expanding Russian Threat
In a forceful address to the European Parliament, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy drew a stark distinction between inward-looking authoritarian regimes and those that actively seek to destabilize their neighbors, placing Russia firmly in the latter category.
Zelenskyy argued that while some dictatorships attempt to isolate themselves within their own borders sealing off societies from external influences and restricting freedoms domestically others reject borders altogether. These regimes, he said, attempt to undermine the sovereignty and independence of surrounding nations, threatening not only regional stability but the broader international order. According to Zelenskyy, Russia represents this more aggressive and dangerous model.
