Zimbabwe Pacer Breaks T20 Consecutive Record

Zimbabwe fast bowler Brad Evans has set a unique record in T20 cricket by becoming the first bowler to take a wicket in 28 consecutive innings.

Evans achieved the milestone during a Super Eight match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, dismissing West Indies captain Shai Hope to secure the historic mark.

Previously, the record was jointly held by Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga and Ireland’s Mark Adair, both of whom had claimed wickets in 27 consecutive T20 innings.

Evans’ achievement places him at the top of the list for consistency in the shortest format of the game. However, his record could face competition from Pakistan spinner Usman Tariq, who has already taken wickets in 25 straight innings and remains in contention to challenge the milestone.
