Pakistan, China Reaffirm ‘All-Weather’ Partnership in New Year Diplomatic Exchange

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong on Monday, underscoring the enduring strength of bilateral ties between Islamabad and Beijing.

During the meeting, Ambassador Jiang conveyed seasonal greetings and New Year wishes from Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Dar reciprocated the goodwill and expressed appreciation for China’s consistent support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national development.

The foreign minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering backing of China on its core interests, including firm adherence to the One-China policy. He reiterated that Pakistan recognizes the People’s Republic of China as the sole legitimate government of China and views Taiwan as an inseparable part of Chinese territory.

Both sides reviewed the broader state of Pakistan-China relations and agreed that their All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership remains a central pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy, as well as a stabilizing force for regional peace and security.
