Deputy PM Ishaq Dar to Attend OIC Extraordinary Session in Jeddah

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar will travel tonight to Saudi Arabia to participate in the Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah on 10 January 2026.
The session will focus on the implications of Israel’s recognition of the so-called Somaliland region of the Federal Republic of Somalia. During the meeting, Senator Ishaq Dar is expected to present Pakistan’s position on the Somaliland issue.
On the sidelines, he will also hold bilateral meetings with foreign ministers from OIC member states to discuss enhanced cooperation on regional and international matters.
