Defense Minister Khawaja Asif Arrives in Morocco for Official Visit

Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif arrived in the Kingdom of Morocco on an official visit that will continue until January 14.

According to the Ministry of Defense, upon his arrival at Casablanca Airport, he was received by Major General Ahmed Hatoutou, Commander of Casablanca Army. During the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed to enhance defense cooperation between Pakistan and Morocco.

The spokesperson stated that the visit marks a significant step toward strengthening bilateral defense relations. Khawaja Asif is scheduled to meet with Morocco’s Minister of State for National Defense Administration, Abdel Latif Loudaye.

He will also lead delegation-level talks aimed at increasing cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The MoU is described as a historic, mutually beneficial development in Pakistan-Morocco defense relations.

Furthermore, the MoU will establish an institutional framework for sustained defense engagement. The Defense Ministry noted that the visit underscores the longstanding friendly relations between Pakistan and Morocco.
