President Zardari Meets Bahraini King, Discusses Deepening Bilateral Ties
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday met King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at Al-Qudaibiya Palace in Manama and held wide-ranging discussions aimed at further strengthening the close and fraternal relations between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The talks reflected a shared determination to deepen cooperation and add practical momentum to bilateral engagement. Both leaders reviewed the overall state of Pakistan Bahrain relations and expressed satisfaction with their positive trajectory.
President Zardari thanked the Bahraini leadership for the warmth and exceptional hospitality extended to him and his delegation and acknowledged King Hamad’s longstanding goodwill toward Pakistan.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding cooperation in political, economic, defense, and cultural fields and reiterated his invitation to King Hamad to pay an official visit to Pakistan.
During the meeting, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa conferred the Order of Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa First Class — the highest award of the Kingdom of Bahrain on President Zardari in recognition of his services and contributions to strengthening Pakistan Bahrain relations.
