King Salman Discharged From Riyadh Hospital Following Check-Ups

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz left the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh on Friday night after undergoing a series of medical examinations, according to media report.

Earlier, official sources had said the monarch was admitted for routine tests as part of a follow-up health assessment. The report added that the results of the examinations were “reassuring,” indicating no cause for concern about the king’s condition.

King Salman, 89, has periodically undergone medical check-ups in recent years, with Saudi authorities typically emphasizing continuity of governance and stability in the kingdom. Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman continues to oversee day-to-day state affairs, while the royal court regularly provides updates to reassure the public and international partners about the king’s health.

Saudi Arabia has remained silent beyond the initial statement, but further details are expected once the testing process is completed. The king’s wellbeing continues to carry weight for both national stability and Saudi Arabia’s role on the global stage.
