Trump Posts Private Macron Message, Predicts French President’s Exit From Power

US President Donald Trump has shared a private message sent to him by French President Emmanuel Macron on social media, while publicly suggesting that Macron will not remain in office for long.

According to a foreign media , relations between Europe and the United States have come under severe strain due to Washington’s efforts to assert control over Greenland. The issue has triggered widespread concern across Europe and caused volatility in financial markets.

President Macron has adopted a tougher stance than many other European leaders, urging the European Union to activate its strongest trade measures against the United States in response to the situation.

Trump has also expressed anger over France’s hesitation to join his proposed “Board of Peace.” Macron had raised concerns about the potential impact such a body could have on the role of the United Nations.

When questioned about President Emmanue Macron’s position, Trump responded dismissively, saying, “Did he really say that? Well, nobody wants him anyway because he won’t be in power much longer.” He went on to warn that he could impose a 200 percent tariff on French wine and champagne, adding that Macron would then join the initiative, although his participation was “not necessary.”

Hours after making the remarks, Trump posted a screenshot of his private conversation with Macron on his social media platform. In the message, the French president said he did not understand what Trump intended to do regarding Greenland and also offered to host a G7 meeting that would include Russia and other countries.

In the same message, Macron referred to Trump as a “friend” and said he fully agreed with him on Syria, adding that the two leaders could work together on “many things” concerning Iran.
