Hindutva and Akhand Bharat Ideology Threaten Regional Stability, Islamabad Seminar

A seminar on the Hindutva ideology was held at the National Defence University in Islamabad, where senior politician Mushahid Hussain Syed delivered a keynote address highlighting what he described as the ideological transformation of contemporary India.

He said that future generations must be educated about the mindset and ideology of Hindutva, warning that its influence is shaping regional politics and security dynamics. According to Mushahid Hussain, present-day India has effectively become an RSS-driven state, where extremist thinking enjoys institutional support.

He stated that the practice of caste-based discrimination, including forms of untouchability, continues to exist in Indian society, reflecting deep-rooted social inequality. He further said that Hindutva and the RSS are systematically working toward the concept of “Akhand Bharat,” noting that a map of this concept is displayed inside the Indian parliament.

Mushahid Hussain Syed reaffirmed that the Two-Nation Theory remains the ideological foundation of Pakistan, describing it as the core basis of the country’s creation. He said that India and Israel are the only two countries in the world representing what he termed extremist state ideologies, and accused the Indian film industry of spreading propaganda across the region.

Referring to what he called the “Battle for Truth,” he said the world had witnessed how Pakistan humbled India’s arrogance. He also claimed that there are currently 17 active freedom movements within India, reflecting widespread internal discontent.

He recalled the struggle of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, stating that Pakistan was achieved through faith, character, and ideological commitment.

Speaking at the same seminar, Dr Moeed Yusuf said that Pakistan represents everything for its people and that no country can maintain its identity without a guiding ideology. He stated that ideology has always been the foundation of victory, stability, and progress throughout history.

Dr Moeed Yusuf described the current Indian government as a product of extremist thinking and said that meaningful dialogue with the Modi government is not possible under any circumstances due to its ideological rigidity.
