Pakistan-UAE Trade Conference Boosts B2B Opportunities at Gulfood 2026
Dubai : The Consulate General of Pakistan, in coordination with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), organized the Pakistan-UAE Trade Conference and Business Networking event at the Pakistan Association Dubai, honoring Pakistani exhibitors participating in Gulfood 2026, held from January 26 to 30.
The event brought together a distinguished gathering of diplomatic corps officials responsible for trade, international delegates, buyers, distributors, importers, multi-national business councils, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce, media personnel, and Pakistani exhibitors, along with key stakeholders from the food and beverage industry.
Attendees included H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Kindi, former UAE Minister of Water & Environment; Mr. Athar Hussain Khokhar, Director General Food & Agro, TDAP; Mr. Hussain Muhammad, Consul General; senior officials from Dubai Municipality; Emirati businessmen; and diplomats from various countries.
The conference provided a platform to strengthen bilateral trade ties, showcase Pakistan’s export potential in the agro-food sector, and foster business-to-business partnerships between Pakistani and UAE companies. Diplomats, delegates, and buyers from the USA, Egypt, Iran, Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Kuwait, Bangladesh, Peru, Nigeria, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, United Kingdom, France, Mozambique, China, and UAE participated in B2B meetings and networking sessions.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Ali Zeb Khan welcomed participants and emphasized the event’s goal of creating collaborative opportunities for Pakistani businesses. Dr. Shahzad Amin, CEO of the Pakistan Dairy Association, highlighted the importance of fostering partnerships with UAE-based businesses to enhance exports of Pakistani dairy products.
Mr. Shabbir Merchant, President of the Pakistan Business Council Dubai, assured support to Pakistani exhibitors in connecting with local distributors and importers. Meanwhile, Mr. Athar Hussain Khokhar underscored the growing international demand for Pakistani agro-products, particularly rice, and outlined government initiatives to attract investment in the sector.
H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Kindi appreciated Pakistan’s proactive strategy to enhance exports in the food and agro sectors, noting the high quality of Pakistani rice, meat, grains, and fruits and vegetables, and expressed optimism about deeper Pakistan-UAE collaboration.
Concluding the event, Mr. Hussain Muhammad highlighted the UAE as one of Pakistan’s strategic trade partners and a reliable market for agro-based products, noting consistent growth in exports and reaffirming the UAE’s significance for Pakistan’s trade agenda.
