Attack on Tehran Equals Attack on Muslim World, Says Reza Amiri
Islamabad : Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has warned that any military action against Iran would not be viewed as an attack on Iran alone, but as an assault on the entire Muslim world, while reiterating Tehran’s position that it does not seek war.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the Iranian envoy stressed that Iran remains committed to peace and diplomacy and continues to hope that the regional situation does not escalate into armed conflict. However, he cautioned that any aggression against Iran would carry far wider consequences beyond its borders.

Referring to recent violent unrest and terrorist incidents inside Iran, Ambassador Moghadam said the country had suffered massive human and material losses. He stated that more than 3,000 people, including around 2,000 security personnel, were killed during violent incidents and security operations, while 690 terrorists were eliminated in counter-terrorism actions.
He added that Iranian authorities are continuously monitoring the evolving situation, asserting that U.S. demands are unacceptable and incompatible with Iran’s sovereignty and national interests.
The ambassador also expressed gratitude to the Pakistani government for its diplomatic support, praising the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar for adopting a principled stance and playing a sincere role in efforts to reduce tensions.
He further commended the professional diplomatic efforts of Pakistan’s Permanent Mission in Geneva, describing its support as commendable and reaffirming that Iran would always remember Pakistan’s backing with respect and appreciation.
