Prime Minister Emphasizes Export-Led Growth, Business Support

Islamabad: ( By Correspondent ) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced a reduction of 4.04 rupees per unit in electricity prices for industries, aiming to support businesses and promote economic growth. The announcement was made during an event honoring the country’s leading exporters and business figures in the federal capital.

Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister emphasized that the government’s role is not to run businesses but to create a conducive environment for trade and investment. He said that after national sacrifices and economic challenges, the focus must now shift toward growth, with policies shaped through consultation with the business community.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted Pakistan’s recent successes on diplomatic and defense fronts, noting that these achievements have elevated the country’s standing internationally. He added that the global perception of Pakistan and its passport has improved, and that award-winning entrepreneurs would be honored with blue passports.

Regarding economic reforms, the Prime Minister stressed transparency in privatization processes, citing the example of PIA, and said the government is committed to reducing unnecessary expenditures. He emphasized the importance of export-led economic growth and added that the digital sector is also receiving focused attention.

Shehbaz Sharif assured that the government will fully support PIA to regain its former stature and noted that cooperation with military leadership has helped resolve key challenges. He concluded by stressing that a stronger Pakistan would enhance the country’s regional influence.
