Pakistan Clears Four Major Development Projects Worth Over Rs240 Billion
A meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC), chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, approved four major development projects with a combined cost exceeding Rs240 billion.
Among the approved initiatives is the expansion of the AFIC–NIHD Rawalpindi, the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme, and the Karachi Yellow Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor.
The meeting also approved the 34.5-megawatt Harpo Hydropower Project in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The session was attended by the federal ministers for finance and planning, as well as the Sindh minister for planning. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, along with the secretaries of planning, defence, and water resources, also participated in the meeting.
