IT Minister Highlights Inclusive Digital Growth at DCO General Assembly
Islamabad : Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja represented Pakistan at the opening ceremony of the Fifth General Assembly of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), where she addressed the forum on the opportunities and responsibilities associated with emerging technologies.
In her address, the IT Minister emphasized the importance of strong governance frameworks and robust cybersecurity measures in navigating the evolving digital landscape. She stressed the need to prioritize ethical and inclusive digital development, noting that sustainable digital progress can only be achieved through inclusive strategies.
Shaza Fatima Khawaja underscored that shared purpose and collaboration are central to effective digital cooperation, adding that digital transformation can only yield meaningful results through collective efforts among member states.
The Minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to leveraging digital transformation for shared prosperity and highlighted that Pakistan, as a founding member of the DCO, continues to play an active and constructive role within the organization.
