President Mirziyoyev Reviews Pakistan’s Indigenous Defence Capabilities at GIDS
ISLAMABAD: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, along with senior ministers, paid an official visit to Global Industrial & Defence Solutions (GIDS) as part of his ongoing visit to Pakistan.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, warmly received the Uzbek president and the accompanying delegation and accompanied them during their visit to the facility.
During the visit, President Mirziyoyev was briefed on the diverse portfolio of GIDS, which includes advanced defence solutions, industrial capabilities, and technological innovations. The delegation toured key facilities and observed a range of defence products, highlighting Pakistan’s growing expertise in indigenous defence production and industrial development.
The visit underscored the shared commitment of Pakistan and Uzbekistan to deepen collaboration in the defence, technology, and industrial sectors. Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships, promoting knowledge exchange, and exploring joint venture opportunities.
